Apply AWC Calculation Results
When "Apply AWC Calculation Results" is specified as the type, the AWC calculation results computed up to the specified time are applied to the APs.You must configure the settings in advance so that AWC calculations are performed periodically, referring to "Operation Reference" > "Autonomous Wave Control (AWC)" > "Using AWC".
| Item Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Management Group | Select a management group for the scheduled task. |
| Specify AWC Calculation Time to Use (mandatory) | Specify an AWC calculation time to use. (mandatory) From the AWC calculation results that exist within two hours before the date and time that matches the calculation time, the one nearest to the calculation time will be applied. (Example) Assume that you have registered a schedule for the application of AWC calculation results with the following settings:
13:00 on March 31, 2017 to 15:00 on March 31, 2017 will be applied. If the AWC calculation results for March 31, 2017 exist as follows: ... 13:40, 14:40, 15:40, ... the AWC calculation results at 14:40 on March 31, 2017 will be applied. |
Enabling Radio/VAP
When you set the type to "Enable Radio/VAP," the selected VAP is enabled. This is used when resuming the operation of a VAP that had been disabled to prevent unauthorized use of the VAP.
To disable a VAP on a scheduled basis, use "Disable Radio/VAP".
NoteEnable/Disable Radio/VAP applies only to radio bands on which only cell-type VAPs configured via the AP profile are set.
At the operation start time, radio bands that include VAPs with Emergency Mode enabled, as well as radio bands that include VAPs to which a CB profile, SC profile, or DCN profile is applied, are excluded from the scope.
For example, if Radio 1 is configured with only cell-type VAPs, and Radio 2 uses CB VAPs or is used as a management radio band of applied SC profiles, then the 'Enable Radio/VAP / Disable Radio/VAP' setting only applies to the VAPs on Radio 1.
In addition, APs that are manually configured to stop radio transmission based on the individual AP settings, APs for which 'Wireless Concierge AP thinning' is enabled, and APs that are in a standby state due to coverage optimization by AWC-SAC are excluded from the scope.
| Item Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Management Group | Select a management group for the scheduled task. |
| Target AP Profile/Radio/VAP | Displays the VAPs eligible for radio output that belong to AP profiles applicable to the specified management group. |
| Select target AP profile/Radio/VAPs | Select the VAP to be enabled. (mandatory) Displays the VAPs that can be selected as targets from AP settings applicable to the specified management group, shown in the format ‘AP Setting Name / Wireless Band / VAP Number’ (e.g., ‘AP Profile Name/Wireless 1/VAP 2’). Additionally, an entry displayed in the format "AP Profile Name/Wireless Band", indicates VAP 1 of the corresponding AP profile and radio band. In other words, the display "Profile-1/Radio 1" means VAP 1 on Radio 1 of the AP profile "Profile-1".

Disabling Radio/VAP
When you set the type to "Disable Radio/VAP," the selected VAP is disabled. This is used when automatically disabling a VAP during nighttime hours when there are no users, in order to prevent unauthorized use of the VAP.
To enable a VAP on a scheduled basis, use "Enable Radio/VAP".

Updating the WPA-Personal Security Key Automatically
When the type is set to "Update WPA Personal Key", if the selected wireless VAP uses WPA Personal as its security method, the security key is randomly updated using the specified string length and character set. After the update, the security key can be obtained using the Vista Manager EX API.
When a facility provides Wi-Fi access points as part of its services, it is possible to periodically change the security key, generate a QR code that includes the SSID and the new security key, and display it on terminals at the facility reception desk or on digital signage within the facility to inform users, thereby achieving both protection against unauthorized use from outside the facility and ease of use at the same time.
NoteOnly cell-type VAPs configured via the AP profile are subject to the change. In addition, if a security method other than WPA-Personal is applied, no changes will be made. For details about the Vista Manager EX API, please contact your sales representative, distributor, or customer support.
If any one or more of the target APs fails to apply the new security key because of not responding, all APs will be reverted to the immediately preceding security key. The results of the update are output to the log.
