User Guide: AT-RADGate for Allied Telesis Container Platform version 1.3.0

Restoring to another virtualization environment



This section explains how to restore an active AT-RADgate to a different virtualization environment.
In this explanation, the following distinctions are made.

When the version of AT-RADgate is the same

This section explains the procedure for restoring AT-RADgate (Virtualization Environment A) to the same version of AT-RADgate (Virtualization Environment B).

Package version "1.3.0"

The following table shows the versions of the Allied Telesis Container Platform and the AT-RADgate application included in AT-RADgate package version 1.3.0.

Backup and Restore

When the version of AT-RADgate is different

You cannot directly restore to an AT‑RADgate (virtual environment B) that is running a different version from the AT‑RADgate (virtual environment A).
If you need to use it with a different version, follow the steps below.
  1. Update AT-RADgate (Virtual Environment A)
    Refer to Quick Tour > Updating AT-RADgate.

  2. Backup the new version of AT-RADgate (Virtual Environment A)
    Refer to Quick Tour > Backup and Restore of AT-RADgate.

  3. Backup the Allied Telesis Container Platform configuration file (default.cfg)
    Refer to Installation > Allied Telesis Container Platform Configuration > Backup and Restore configuration files.

  4. Set up AT-RADgate (Virtual Environment B) with the same version as in Step 2
    Refer to Installation > Installing AT-RADgate.

  5. Restore the Allied Telesis Container Platform configuration file (default.cfg)
    Refer to Installation > Allied Telesis Container Platform Configuration > Backup and Restore configuration files.

  6. Restore the backup file obtained in Step 2 to AT-RADgate (Virtual Environment B) set up in Step 3
    Refer to Quick Tour > Backup and Restore of AT-RADgate.
Note
Updating to a previous version (version downgrade) using this procedure is not supported.
